This is my first experience with my own shotgun, but I have shot others a few times at the firing range.
This is a standard 12 gauge Remington 870 Express for HD. I had read in some forums that sometimes these new 870 Express were coming from the factory with metal fragments in the Action, so I did disassemble the unit and it was immaculate, put some oil on the action bars and reassembled it.
The shells are Winchester “Super X”, 2-3/4” #71/2 and #8. I fired off about 25 rounds, but two in random sequence would not immediately eject. I was able to get some movement from the Fore-end and by moving it forward and back about 1/4-1/2", the shells finally ejected. It seemed like the shell was jammed in the chamber.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on and what to look for if/when it happens again?
Thanks
