    Mossy 500 - a 28" barrel question

I have a 20" mossy with the extended magazine tube. With these long barrels I am seeing, the lock nut for the barrel is for the shorter tube. If I want the longer barrel, do I need to get it modified to fit, or is there a longer barrel with the lock nut at the 20 inch mark?

You don't have to get your mag tube modified, you just need to buy a 5 round mag tube and replace it. There aren't any longer barrels that fit the 20" tube.

On the maevrick shotgun website they have a 28 inch barrel that is made for the 8 shot mag tube

Wow, so they do. Never seen that before. That's certainly worth looking into. Wonder what it looks like, can't seem to find any pictures of it.
