Anyone make a shotgun that's "upside down?"

I was playing a friend's copy of Halo 3 and noticed something unique and cool about the shotgun in the game. It is, for lack of a better description, "upside down," with the mag tube and loading port on top and the barrel underneath (closer to the pistol grip). Does anyone make a shotgun like this? It seems like it would be great from an ergonomics standpoint and I'm surprised more shotties aren't produced this way.

Not that it's a problem, but this also seems like it would make feeding more reliable with shotguns, as the next shell dropped from the mag would have gravity working to load it into the barrel instead of an elevator or two.

There are only two that I know of: The Russain RMB-93 and the South African Neostead. Both of which have some interesting characteristics, only one of which being that they have the tube (or tubes, in the Neostead's case) above the barrel instead of below.

I, too, play Halo 3, and I've thought much the same things you have. If you had a lot of time on your hands, you could order a left-handed 870, then try to work out some way to relocate the trigger to the "top" of the receiver. Fabricate new pump levers and relocate the sights, maybe do a little work on a stock to make it more ergonomic. Voila. Easy, right?

the neostead wont ever be availible... as its multiple tube design makes it nonsporting. i have tried to think of ways to get one, but alass i cant. thisis the one gun i would go ape feces for.
