The stock trigger pull is garbage on unconverted saigas. Also more parts to fail.

The tapco g2 kit, RSA, etc trigger kits give it a clean break, the stock is a mushy, craptastic revolver feeling trigger.

I left mine alone for a good while (my 308 also). I then did a conversion to see the difference. The balance thing was a BIG issue. I have short arms but I shoot regular LOP rifles/shotguns with no issue. The unconverted Saiga really felt front heavy. Follow through felt out of control. The main difference is like when you choke up on a bat. It swings and reacts much faster. Both the converted 12 and the 308 "feels" lighter.

It's something we are thinking of producing. The boys at ITT Enidine are looking for more platforms for their hydraulic stock shock.

Mesa Tactical designs and manufactures American-made, duty-grade firearm and shotgun accessories trusted by law enforcement and professionals.

+1 and bringing the FCG forward gives you a better center of balance plus it's BAD *****

Bring it back to its original configuration so it is more true to the original concept. Piss on the silly laws we have to jump though and work around. ergonomics and looks.

I finally get to pick up my Saiga 12 tomorrow from parallax after 10 very long days! I shot my buddies S12 and it immediatly got me hooked, and I had to have one. I held his gun before and after the conversion and the ergo's were improved much over the neutered sporting configuration.

Heres a picture of a Tromix convereted S12 SBS which we cant have here in CA, but just to give you an idea of how bad ***** these things can be made to look

Having the magazine housing closer to the trigger and grip feels more appropriate for me, and esp. given our AW laws, it's gotta be fixed magazine anyhow, so you might as well go for the whole shebang, and get a PG on there as well.
