Benelli M2
Well I found a great deal on a used M2 and it should arrive at the FFLs tomorrow, so I can see it and touch it and then start the 10 day wait.
I am already shopping for add ons for the gun.... man, not even day 10 and it sucks!

Fellow waiters (no not the type at a restaurant LOL). I am over the hump and now have just 3 more days in my wait to pick up my Benelli. I get it Friday night, and Saturday morning have a 3 gun practice session. Not much time to practice reloads, etc, but will go slow and safe with the new gun.
tick...tick....tick....

Walked into Big5 this past Saturday to get a Mossberg 12g combo and ended up buying an Escort MP-S/A 12g instead.
I'd read all I could find on the Escort semi-auto's beforehand but my local Big5's never had one in stock. Since this shotgun was to be more for HD than sporting I'd decided to go with the Mossberg combo as all I really wanted was a good, basic HD shotgun. When I got up to the counter I saw they had the Escort semi-auto in stock to my surprise (clerk said they literally just got it in that day, price tag wasnt even on it yet).
Well after handling and inspecting it, the Escort went into jail and the poor Mossy remained behind for another fellow shooter. We'll see if I made the better choice.
8 more days and then hopefully some range time...Comment

My 10 days started this afternoon. 12ga. Rem 870 7 round synthetic will be mine on 2/10. I already ordered up a surefire 618LMG forend, a knoxx collapsible stock, and a sidesaddle shellholder.
I just realized I work on the 10th, and 11th and the store is closed sundays and mondays. Looks like I have 14 days to go..

damn these are fun!
mag dump... target is not amused.

I am not impressed with the raddlock on these, I modified mine before me and my buddy hit the range. His mags literally popped out every shot. He hadnt modified his to work correctly yet. Self ejecting mags...not rad

I'm always amazed at the differences across the US when it comes to firearms laws...I don't know how you guys/girls can possibly stand to wait this long for a new toy!!!! I know, I know...you're use to it but sheeesh what a killer! You're definitely a serious firearms enthusiast if you can wait.

No choice. Whenever there is no choice, then there is no sense whining.I'm always amazed at the differences across the US when it comes to firearms laws...I don't know how you guys/girls can possibly stand to wait this long for a new toy!!!! My new .45 ACP just finished Day #1 in "jail."
So 9 more days to go.
I won't have time to take it to the firing range until Feb 11 anyway, so it really does not matter. It just cannot defend my home until then. Guess I will just need to rely on my Mossberg 590 or Smith&Wesson 29 in the meantime. The Mossberg and Smith are not good concealable weapons though, at home.
The wait period makes no sense for gun owners who already have guns.
BTW, to the OP, by using 2 3/4 inch shells, I can get 8 + 1 into my Mossberg. I am not recommending the +1 aspect of this, just mention it in terms of capacity.Comment

Just put an 870 package with 28" vent rib & 20" rifled bore in jail. Gotta love 11 day waiting periods. 5:55pm on a Sunday... ohh they are open until 9. Good.

Finally a day off to spring my Saiga out of jail.

Saw the group-buy here after buying mine. Oh well. Rushed it home and took it all apart, wiped it down and lubed it. Ordered another magazine online, one of those auto-plugs and a brake (not one of those funky 'breacher' things, just a standard brake.)
Eventually will convert it, but right now I just want to get some range time in. Looks like funTzvia

RIP Kelev my sweet Lab (and avatar). The best dog in the known universe. Thank you for 14 wonderful years. I will see you again one day.Comment
