Good, Reliable, affordable semi auto, Skeet Gun?

I went skeet shooting for the first time and had a blast, I have shot lots of Pumps in 410, 12, & 20 gauge from different manufactures. I want to change gears and go with a semi auto and maybe sell my other guns.

What do you guys recommend for a reliable semi auto 12gauge skeet gun that wont break the bank prefferably under $1000.00 bucks TIA for any insight and recomendations.

hahaha ... my standard answer!! Remington 1100, under $500 for a skeet gun and they are reliable as heck!! I competed with one and didn't clean it for more then a year!!

            ><

Simple answer....buy the one that you like and feels good to you..... if that one fits your body the best, thats the one you buy.

A good fitting shotgun will serve you better then any of your recommendations.

                Neveronline,

Sign-up for the Skeet Classes and you can shoot several brands of shotguns.

                TRY BEFORE U Buy.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I was looking at an 1100 and like the way it felt. I thought I would pose the question here and see what types people suggested.

May have to join the sleet classes if I can squeeze it in

i got a great deal on a Rem 1100 from M.B. Retting in culver city -> used tactical (user had it for three gun tourney) #395

ANY of the older semi Baretta's would work well for you too - I saw one @ Turners on consignment for $280 for a A301 (mid 80's semi, 3 plus one)

you can find a decent semi for great prices, just got to search for them

take one of BJL's shotgun clinics, they are AMAZING

                        John,

Find the time to attend the Skeet Clinc.

When you sign up tell Jordon that you need a 12 or 20 gauge to use.

Read the Skeet Info at the top of this form, to see what you may need.

Shotgun Shell 4 Pack can be bought at Walmart, for around $23.00.

Again I repeat, try as many guns as you can, as what you like may not fit you.

I changed over from an 870 to a 930 and may have to change over to an over/under and the Clinic is the place to find out.

There is a shotgun just for you, your job is to find it and learn how to shoot it.

                        John

For me it would be Beretta 3901. Perhaps a Browning Silver. I never liked 1100's. I like more lively guns.
