    Benelli Nova barrel

    Hello,

Brand new to the site and I'm hoping I can get some much needed assistance.

I need a 28" Matte barrel for a Benelli Nova, and it's only about 30 days until the waterfowl opener.

Now I found the barrel on the Benelli web site$$$$, I'm hoping to save at least a little $.

Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Sincere regards,

Sorry to be a douche but you really are better off buying a new Nova. There barrels are ridiculously over priced. There is an Camo HD Benelli Nova on the forum here for pretty cheap.

The only reason I say this I just got my Super Nova and ran some rounds on Saturday for the first time and felt the desire to get an 18" barrel. After some calling I will buy another shot gun. Just way to expensive for a seperate barrel.

        Agreed with Doug above.

Real barrel replacement for Novas are expensive.

I got my Nova "Special purpose" (i.e, police riot gun) with 18.5" bbl for $215 back on the weekend after Sept 11 2001.

I was hoping to get a 28" bbl for it for casual trap but the cost of the bbl is often near approximating the cost of the gun!!

There may be some low-end 3rd party barrels available, but they will not be chrome-lined. [Chrome lining is great for steel shot and is really easy to clean and is rust-resistant.]

I agree with both of you and if it were my personal gun that's what I would do but the gun belongs to a friend and I need to return it in the same shape it was borrowed in.

wow thats pretty cheap. I wish they had the 18" barrel on there for that price. I would love the 18 for the indoor range to shred some targets. Looks like I am still gonna buy another shotgun instead. OP seems like thats the way to go if they have them in stock.

Those are the 20ga barrels only at that price.

The 12ga barrels are above that and are $330ish.

Yeah, you can often get 26" / 28" and even 18" Novas pretty cheap on GunBroker.

With chrome lined barrels even if you get a used gun it'll be OK.

I checked Able's with there skew and it shows it as a 12ga barrel. It wouldn't hurt to call them and find out. My big concern for the OP would be if they are in stock, at that price I cant imagine they have alot in stock if any and they drop ship from Benelli. If thats the case I would just buy a new gun as I have heard its a nightmare lead time from Benelli on barrels since there pulled off the regular assembly line.

The $330 ish is for a 12 GA Nova complete. 20 GA barrels are more money, not less...

                            Hey guys,

I called The Long Island shooting Center today, very helpful. Unfortunately they were out of 28" barrels and due to Benelli being such a pain in the A-- to work with they no longer carry Benelli products. The price advertised however was correct and they still have 24" barrels in stock.

                            Again thanks for the help.

And I am still in need of a barrel, in fact at this point I'm willing to purchase a reasonably priced Nova just to get the barrel.
