So I picked up this lovely little French side by side a while back. It's classy, elegant even a little sexy if you like classics like this. If you don't get the whole vintage gun thing, that's fine, this thread is probably not for you
Anyway, my issue is this. I bought the gun on a lark as it reminded me of a gun my grandfather had. That being said it does not fit in with my firearms plans. I own guns for HD, personal defense, for SHTF and for Skeet (If a man named Lou says to you "C'mon down, try it out, what's the worst that can happy, you might like it.", just tell him NO, hand him whatever money is in your wallet and walk away. Trust me it will be cheaper in the long run.)
So I have the odd man out, the 1920 SxS. I've gone back and forth on it but finally I have decided to let it go. After much research and considerable help from those who know more me I list the gun at $700. Now I've had half a dozen people come close to buying it only to change their mind at the last minute.
Excuses I've heard:
It's too short for me
My wife said no
I really want a 16ga, do you have one in 16?
My wife said no
I want it but you are too far away
I don't have any cash but I'll trade you these four crappy shotguns
So anyway today I got a really decent offer. Straight trade for a CZ Bobwhite in 20ga. If you don't know this gun, it is essentially the modern day version of my gun. And don't knock CZs either. I just bought a CZ Redhead O/U due to recent skeet infection I picked up.
The issue is that the guy is in Wyoming. As fun as the Bobwhite would be I feel that I'd be trading for a gun that doesn't fit my plan and also losing $100 in shipping and FFL. I know I'm just whining here but I'm having a bad case of non buyers remorse.
Any "useful" thoughts?
