    Stoeger 2000 or Mossberg 930?

Been looking up lots of reviews on these 2 semi autos. From what I've gathered, the Stoeger will kick harder, and the Mossberg 930 (talking about the non SPX version) has a ported barrel, which is unnecessarily loud and will ruin your hearing without ear protection.

Uses are just fun shooting skeet or clays, possible hunting, and HD.

Went to Don Ziegler's skeet class today. Gentleman who attended had the 930 and did quite well with it. There were a number of ported and imported guns there and I couldn't tell the difference between them, sound-wise.

The 2000 is based on the Benelli Inertia system. We have a student that owns one and he is quite happy with it. As above mentioned, the 930 also have very good reviews. I think the 2000 will shoot longer without a cleaning tho .....

I think the bottomline is how the gun fit you and how it feels in your hands. I'd see which one offer shims to adjust the stock and if both offers shims then refer to the first paragraph!!

I really like my 930. It's soft shooting and has a bunch of shims to change the stock angle and length of pull. Another nice feature is that the gas system doesn't use O-rings that need to be replaced all the time.
