Bandolier is not ideal as far as a tactical situation but much better than nothing. For home defense, a side saddle or shell carrier on the stock is nice since you can grab just one thing and go with it. I don't think storing a bandolier next to that setup would be a bad idea though, 50 rounds that takes almost nothing to sling over the shoulder can be nice. If 5 in the tube, 6 on the side saddle and 4 or 5 on the stock is not enough, it really isn't your day but i rather have and not need than need and not have...
I am not a fan of the sling+bandolier ones though...

How about a 25-round shotgun belt from 3-gun gear? Have any of you guys tried one?

I've got one and use it all the time.

My buddy made a few out of nylon and strechy material. Each holds 50 12 ga shells, they're very convienient for carrying shells if you have to hike. I imagine they would be great for hunting.

I carried a bandolier during a shotgun course, not impractical at all. Used it quite a bit... stuff was where it needed to be, also used the kydex type that hold 4 shells.

If something terrible arose and i ever had to leave my house with a shotgun... im grabbing my bandolier... give me a better way to instant grab 50rounds of readily deployable ammo and id take that too

I keep them in the large ammo pocket of my Columbia parka.

Sometimes when it really rains I set the shells on the fireplace hearth to dry.

I also have a bandolier at my gf house in case of emergency I can grab and go and I also have one at my house for the same purpose they sit right next to each other and it nice knowing you have enough to get thru about anything if need be.

I have mine on the sling of my shotgun. Holds 30 rounds in 3 separate holders with elastic shell holders in each.
