    Skeet Vs. mod

About how much bigger is the spread from a skeet choke to a modified choke???

Been debating with my father on this topic for sometime.

Ya see, i have a older Remington 1100, w/ a fixed modified choke.

My father, has a new beretta silver pigeon with an Improved, and skeet choke.

So i have been telling him his skeet choke is giving him at least 8 inches of a wider spread than my mod does when we go skeet shooting.

    Help settle the debate!

    Thanks all!

Skeet choke is more open than Modified. "Improved" on a double where the other barrel is Skeet could well be Improved Cylinder, which is just slightly tighter than Skeet.

The charts on this page should help make it clearer.[/url]

Yup - that's what the wife tells me! You might remember us from the clinic; I'm the darn good looking one with the shaved head and gorgeous gut. Son shot a Remington 1100 and I had the Beretta O/U. We brought the camera, remember?

Great, great clinic and honestly worth 4x that price. I told you you need to raise that ticket! After only 12/15 rounds, Son and I are shooting 20s now, using the techniques from the clinic.
