If you want a dedicated HD SG, get the 590. It is what it was made for. If you want a multipurpose SG, get anything other than a 590.

I wasn't going to touch that one. If they think they can manage a bayonet indoors, go nuts, but I won't be messing with that nonsense.

I bought an old used 500 that I estimate was made in the 1980's. 5+1 capacity with an 18.5" barrel. More than good enough for home defense.
