When you figure it out, let me know. I've been looking for a longer magazine for my 1300 in 20ga for years with no luck.

I built a defender from a regular 1300. The magazine tube can be bought from Numrich. They're out of the 8-round black ones, but they have chrome plated ones. Hit it with some duracoat and you'd never know the difference. The barrels are hard to find and expensive. I searched Gunbroker and Calguns for about 6 months before I found one for a screaming deal.

When replacing the mag tube, you can knock the old one out pretty easy without breaking the keepers (Numrich calls them magazine throats). Installing it is another matter. Apparently there's a special fixture to install it and it's very expensive. I called several gunsmiths in Nor-Cal and none of them would touch it. I went to the Winchester website to find a certified smith near me. Even they couldn't do it. They had to ship it to a shop in So-Cal. It was $50 to have the new tube pressed in, including shipping.

Lol sorry, I wish I had a 12ga barrel. That would prompt me to get the rest of one and then I'd have two! But sadly no, I've only got the 20ga gun. Don't get me wrong, it's one of the best shooting pumps I've ever messed with, and I love it to death, but to have one in 12ga would be the knuts!

I'm just hoping to come across a 20ga magazine tube extender or just an 8 (or7) shot magazine tube for fun.

I looked around and figured it was cheaper to buy another shotgun than it is to find and buy a shorter barrel for a 1300.

If your looking for a rail there are a couple ways to go. First would be a saddle mount:

Then there are a few mounts that require reciever tapping
