Need Ideas for Shotgun Games

I am running a shotgun shoot at a small gun club and i was wondering if you guys could help me out. If you guys know any games that can be played by 15-30 people with the use of 2 trap machines.

Hey Thefeeder, sounds like you've done this before!!!

The truth is get a few of inexpensive clay launchers and set it where you feel the angle is tough. But keep in mind the distance and the pattern of the chokes you're running. I would suggest keeping the birds within 35 yards and run an IC choke, that should keep the birds from getting too tough to shoot at.

Too bad you don't have acces to pepper poppers or other steel... you could combine aerial and static steel targets at various distances... another thing we like to use at our range is 4" and 6" iron pipes set on the ground.. need to knock them over for score.. a 6" pipe is fairly heavy and you need a good concentrated pattern at much past 15 yards.

I always play "HORSE" with my friends. Just like basketball, call your shot. If you hit the guy after you has to hit the same shot or get a letter. We usually shorten it to "SHOT" though.

Examples of called shots:

Shoot with your off-hand.
One handed.
Start with the shell in your hand.
Start with the shell in the mag tube.
Start with your back turned to the trap thrower (be sure to turn with the muzzle away from the group or straight in the air).
Hit two clays.
Throw your own clay(s).
Shoot with only one foot on the ground.
Shoot while walking forward/sideways/etc.

It's a great game and (when done safely) is always a blast. Pun!

Also, you could always just gamble. Playing a regular round of trap with a buy-in and payouts for 1st, 2nd always makes a normal game more entertaining.

covering the dominant eye with a blindfold makes it interesting....

Also, does anyone have an AOW/SBS? double barreled shotgun pistols are hilarious to try to shoot trap with.

We did somewhat of a clock shoot at the end of the days festivities the other day. Shooting from one field over from the house being launched from.

Another format with a single launcher can be done this way....
