Two shot extension tube for Hawk 982 possible?

Hello;
I would like to add a two shot extension tube to my Hawk 982. The only available ones I know are six inches long and they will extend three inches out of the 18.5 barrel of the gun. From a aesthetic point of view I don't mind to have three inches longer extension tube in my shotgun but for firearms reasons do this can have some danger? for example the fire from the barrel overheating the part of the extension tube out of the barrel lenght? Also my magazine tube would be now three inches longer than a Remigton 870 with the two round extension because the Hawk 982 are five shot magazines instead of 4 shots the Remington;then Do I need to buy also a longer magazine spring like for an 8 shot capacity magazine? I'm also thinking if I buy a two shot extension tube and cut it to the size of the barrel and thread the end for the magazine cap this would work fine for the Hawk 982 like a two shot extension but who will do that? I have called different gunsmith people and only one gave me some hope, do you know anybody who will do that?

From what I read, you should be able to use a standard 870 +2 extension like a wilsons or vang comp, it may stick out a little in front of the muzzle but nothing will happen except for maybe some buildup on the part that sticks out.

I had a 982 with a +2 extension on it. I had the Wilson Combat +2 extension and it worked fine. Got some powder fowling on the end of the extension, but no function problems. The Wilson Combat extension comes with a mag spring and a follower, so if you bought and installed that one you'd be all set.

Thank you for the information, probably I will go with the Wilson Combat two shot extension, it make nine rounds capacity to my shotgun and I can easily put it on and off when needed

Might be more cost effective to DIY. Buy a long one for a Rem, cut it to size, weld (or have it welded closed), paint or park it. Don't know what the cost is through Dave's Metal Works is but Tac Stars can be had for cheap.

If a two shot Wilson fits these clones then a one shot Wilson will. They make 12ga one shot tubes. This will not extend past the end of your barrel.

Where can you get one of these Wilson one shot tubes? I have a Hawk and I wouldn't mind having one extra shell in the tube.

Also, if I were to add a 1 shot tube extension, would I need to get a new mag tube spring and or follower?

I am also not saying they fit as I don't own clones of weapons, I own the weapon. However, a clone owner in this post said the Wilson 2 shot fits his clone so if that is true that means any Wilson fits it.

How much further out from the end of the barrel did the extension stick out on your 982? Was it less than an inch, or 1 or 2 inches, or what? Thanks.

Also, I was looking at the Wilson extensions, and most of them have a sling mount, for either right-handed shooters, left-handed shooters, or a vertical mount that sticks straight down.

Anyone know why you'd pick the vertical mount over say the right- or left-handed mounts? Just trying to figure out if there's any advantage to the vertical mount, either in shooting or carrying the gun... Thanks.

You would pick the vertical if you intend to mount a light on the left side. The sling plate gets in the way of a light mount and prevents you from accessing the light. You take the left side slot if you are mounting a light on the right side or if you intend to mount a dedicated surefire forend. You take the Universal with no sling plate if you have a single point attachment on the weapon.

The two rounds extensions are 6 inches lenght and extend about 3 inches out of the barrel of the Hawk, the one shot extensions are 2- 2 1/4 inches and fit fine
