As a matter of fact, I was driving by the local gun shop today, and decided to drop in to see what's up. There was indeed a user grade A-5 there, some goodly wear but no rust or big owies, except it had a crack running from the ejection port to the front of the receiver. The salesman indicated he thought it could be welded, making the receiver usable. And he wanted only $399 for the gun as-is.
That's typical for what I see in the brick and mortars.
