To get a pretty good idea how your 870 will fit with a shorter stock. Remove the pad and shoulder it. Depending on the pad you took off, it will be about an inch shorter than it was.

You might what to go with something like this that allows you adjust the LOP to fit you.

Who's stock is that and is it a 12" or 13" LOP without any of the adjsutment spacers? Thanks

It's a Choate (www.riflestock.com) and its 13" without the spacers. They also offer ones as short as 11 3/4".
