there are no Speedfeed I or III stock in reduced lenght of pull so no reduced LOP have the shell holders.

The best stock out there for this use is the Remington LE 13" LOP and it comes with the R3 pad. You can find them on gun broker or get one from Remington. Your shoulder will thank you latter.

In a conventional stock type I don't notice a lot of difference between the OEM Remington reduced length stock and the Hogue. Both will handle the chore very well. The Hogue seems to have a strong following if, perhaps, for no other reason than it's solid gear.

Speedfeed II or IV, as Aippi suggests, are the only reduced LOP in that line. Both are excellent equipment, IMO.

Got the speedfeed tac-IV-s and I love it... pistol grip is great for reducing felt recoil on the shoulder. Not for everyone tho

There is a big difference between 12" and 13" LOP. You may want to shoulder one of each before you buy. Me or any of the other guys posting answers are not the ones using this weapon. What works for us may not work for you. I do not use the 12" LOP and just got stuck with one that I speical ordered. It was on the clients weapon and when he came to pick it up and shouldered it he realized it was to short. I changed it out to a 13" and he was fine with that one. find out before you spend the money.

                    + 1 to the above

when I got the Tact IV-S it had a "swat" plate, no pad... for use with body armor and makes it a 12" LOP
it's WAY too short like that. I ended up putting a pad on it, and even with armor it's just right

with the Hogue 12" LOP. You may have to modify your strong hand grip.

The Hogue with a slip on limbsaver is great. Brings it up to about 13" and reduces recoil as well (makes slugs not feel like a big deal), with the option to go shorter by just taking off the slip on pad makeing it very versitile.

Your other options is to go with a pistol grip stock w/ reduced LOP like the Speedfeed. Your hand is out of the way. But even at 12", I sometimes shorten it more for smaller shooters.

If you're handy w/ power tools, shortening synthetic stocks is not hard, but there's an issue when try to put back on the stock recoil pad. if you're lucky only the edges of the pad stick out from the stock which you can round over.

Be careful not to shorten the stock to the point where the screw holes won't align with the recoil pad.

You might want to go with something like this that allows you adjust the LOP to fit you.
