    Shotgun tracers are not a DD in Ca. PERIOD. If they were, every flare for a 12g flare gun would be a felony here. Obviously, that's not the case.

      Already mentioned that a few posts up. (post #6, my first post in the thread)

      Thread got side tracked with the wording "any other chemical substance" and it being a chemical that illuminates, would that place the product in the same category.

      But no matter what it is, shotgun tracers are exempt and it being shotgun ammo, the side track was an exercise on what is or isn't.

        Out of curiosity, what do you think would happen if one of these rounds were used in a defensive situation? Burst on impact, leaving a welt and some temporary flourescent dye?

        Edit: Oh, there's shot as well <_< >_> Slightly more than just a welt then?
