    The S-12 Crazies Continue

I just saw someone buy one for 700.00 minus any fees. I wish I would of bought ten when I got mine last year, I'd be ahead by over 2K.

Maybe I'm biased (since I may or may not have just bought one for that price), but the lowest I've seen them for online was in the high $500s. So, after shipping and shop costs for the transfer, you're looking at the mid $600s anyway. Nevertheless, they are going like crazy nowadays.

I picked mine up today. It was about $650 OTD. Gun + maglock + tax + shipping + transfer.

I've had mine for more than two years way before they became under the spotlight here on Calguns. Bought it during the Obama scare just prior to '09. Back then there were less than a handful of dealers willing ot bring them in let alone any dealers willing to sell to Kalifornia. When I saw it, I had to have it. It didn't matter what the price was. I just couldn't believe that an S12 would exist given the restrictive environment at the time. (Many shops back then were afraid to even have anything remotely associated to an OLL)

Last year was probably the best time ever to get an S12 since it was also the year where many OLLs returned to being available at local shops. It was also the year where many out of state dealers started getting Kalifornia friendly.

If you don't have one, then get one now if you're still interested. Despite the current price, its still much better than what I and many others at that time had to pay for an "in Cali" S12.

Spent my budding engagement ring fund on a pair of them in late '07 or early '08 when FEDUPWBS organized the group buy and designed the first magazine lock for them. Best decision I've ever made.

I'm still considering getting a fourth and fifth one to round out the collection.

It sure is a good gun, but I dont find it something to go crazy about tbh. I would be just fine with a tube fed semi auto.

                Saiga 12's are raw SEX!

I've seen pictures of the USAS 12 online; and that thing is fugly compared to the S12!

Unless a company is willing to sell me one for 550 or less, ill just pass on the idea of a saiga 12 since there is other options out there like the benelli M2 and M4

I got mine last week for 700 out the door. As much as it sucks, those prices aren't going down. So we can complain all day but the manufacturing situation has kept them up there.

                          S/aiga 12s

Well, I got mine and now I am just waiting to convert it from it's "sporting" configuration to what I call "Ergonomically correct" setup.

I also bought a Benelli M1 that has 4 days left on it's jail sentence, so I hope to have both guns ready for my next range day in 3 weeks.

I am looking forward to seeing which gun I like best.

ATF sure screwed the pooch on this one. Saiga-12 panic buys are epidemic at this stage.

I'll wait. Not worth the price. Even if they do ban them there will still be parts kits Can any one site an incident that an S-12 was used in the commission of a violent crime?
