    Winchester 1300 sight options.

I got invited to a tactical shotgun training course next month and got to thinking I might like some real sights for my Defender as it only has a front bead.I have searched quite a bit and have not found anything for it.

So what are my options? Adapting front and rear sights from another make/model?For a rear sight I know drilling and tapping will be required. But what about something up front to go in place of the bead?

And another question for those who have actually done tactical shotgun training,do I even need better sights other than just a front bead ??

    Thanks in advance.

theres a few fiberoptic front sight replacements available, night sights.. other than that you can always add a reddot or something..

ive been thinking about adding a fiberoptic to mine but at the same time its a shotgun not a scalpel so im not worried about being captin of team bullseye with it.. i can hit stationary 4" targets time after time at 5-25 yards.. good enough..
Boy the way Glen Miller played, songs that made the hit parade, guys like us we had it made, those were the days, and you know where you were then, girls were girls and men were men, mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again, didn't need no welfare states everybody pulled his weight, gee our old Lasalle ran great, those were the days!

    who wants a fishtank?

i got one of those mounts for scopes and have a red dot

the mount looks kind of hokey but it stays pretty good it does mar the reciever a tad at the metal clip mount area

        i think its this one

i had to do a bit of minor fitting

dunno why i can't get the link to copy but look on Cabela's under Truglo and you'll find it. 15 bucks. unless you really want a red dot. they sell the mount and sight pretty cheap on ebay i think. but i like my truglo just fine.
