    Saiga 12 questions !

I’m looking to purchase a Saiga 12, three questions, I hear that bird loads are not advised to shoot in it (cycling problems). And can you put a pistol grip stock on it ?
And dose anybody in So-Cal, (L.A. area) sell them.
    Any info would be appreciated.

If you're talking Saiga 12's... three words Cadiz Gun works.

First off, cheapo walmart federal ammo will work fine. You just need to break it in.

Secondly, Yes. You can put a pistol grip on it. Just remember that if it has a pistol grip, it cannot have a folding or telescoping/collapsible stock.

Also (before you ask) It must have a magazine lock in any/every configuration.

Lastly, where to buy them in so-cal? Sorry. I can't help you there.

Are you speaking from experience? I've had not one problem with mine, top notch conversion with G3 sights.

The guns from the factory do not like low brass winchester, so buy federal for the cheap stuff.
The warranty from Cadiz will not cover winchester.

Any S-12 can be made to cycle great.
Some do right out of the box. Others need a bit of TLC.

Test with the Russian 5 round mag as your baseline & for the love of all that's holy, do not buy Promag 10 round stick mags. Stan got screwed with a shipment of polymer that's too soft & they have major feed issues many times.

He'll be releasing another generation of 10 round sticks made out of the material he makes his drums out of. They should be better, but haven't been run yet.

Get AGP-10s Russian 8s or Surefire 8's, or even the Promag 10 round drum.

Well, it is evident that his prices are unjustifiably inflated. Futhermore, I have reliable reports of shoddy conversion work. I was interested in some of their stuff until I was informed of this sub-premium work at a premium+ price.

YMMV, but I can do the work better myself, and for free

my s12 will cycle any high brass, i need to tune it a bit for the low brass. there are a few ways to get a pistol grip either through a conversion or going the tapco route, just remember to fix the stock so there are no legal issues.

Try OC Armory since your in the LA area and if you want to stay local. But as Ted said, I also picked up mine from Joe at Parallax Tactical here in SD. Awesome guy and all staff at the store are warm and helpful, check their website for online orders to ship to your FFL. Best price in SD.

So you cant have a collapsable stock on a s-12 even if its 922r compliant?

Sure you can. Just not with a pistol grip. Read the flowchart. It's an "either, or" thing. Either folding/colapsing stock, or pistol grip, but not both.
