So I wanted to build myself the perfect shotgun. I figured I wanted mine to be as versatile as possible, since that was my main draw to the shotgun. I decided that a high capacity tube mag would be important for HD, so I added a 3 round extension. The downside is I have to switch out the mag extension with a limiter to hunt legally, or so I belive. A shorter barrel would also help in the corners, so I swapped for a 18.5'' barrel. As a shotguns tightness of groups is from the choke, not the barrel length, I decided to get a choked barrel so I could have tighter groups for bird shot and buckshot. Perhaps I was being picky, but I couldn't decide on one choke, so I decided to go threaded barrel. From there, I found the Titan Adjustable TruGlow choke, which with the turn of you wrist adjusts from xxfull turkey to bore. That way I could quickly change my choke depending on field hunting conditions, and the game I was after. The only drawback is slugs have to be fired on open bore or the choke ''petals'' of the device will break off. I still am unsure if they can be set to modified for buckshot. I wanted to be able to use the shotgun at night, so I got a universal shotgun light mount, and the tlr-1 light that goes on all the guns can ''ride shotgun'' as well. Finally, I like to be able to shoot my guns all day long, so I set to search for a good buttpad. Remington offers a new Supercell buttpad that is claimed to be the best on the market. I have to add that the supercell is excellent in reducing felt recoil. Instead of relying on very flexible rubber, it uses a dense spongy pad that really feels nice.

If I were to coin a term for the general direction I went with the shotgun, I might call it a Survival Shotgun.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all of you out there
