So wouldn't it make sense to make BRIGHT ORANGE CAMO?

No. Since we are talking shotguns here, they are used primarily for bird hunting in this state and birds CAN see color.

Check out the guy in the Multicam picture that is sitting down with the black rifle and bipod and his face is not covered. His face and gun can be spotted since they are not camo. I do quite a bit of coyote calling with camo shotguns and rifles, I wear camo from head to toe, including face mask and gloves. I know my camo is working when coyotes less than 20 yards away, while I am raising my shotgun look right at me and cock their heads sideways like little puppies. They don't understand why that bush is moving like that. Most of them just turn to run as soon as I raise my shotgun, but it is too late by then. I have two shotguns and four rifles with scopes and bipods for hunting and they are all painted camo. The best part about having camo hunting guns is that I NEVER have to oil the metal to keep it from rusting.http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...s2005_0506.jpg

Yes, I painted them with Krylon camo spray paint from Wal-Mart. I have a Rem. 11-87 that came with camo on it and after about 10 years it started to shine a little so I painted it also.http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...s2005_0516.jpg

So how does the camo underwear and bedsheets help with hunting?

Maybe it's not the camo? Perhaps the Coyote is wondering "why the hell is this ******* shooting at me"?

I only use Camo when shooting squirrels over 500 yards

...No, but really I do prefer to have a Camo Shotgun while I'm duck hunting, because they tend to have pretty good eyes. Turkeys require full Camo as well. Unless you're dealing with certain types of animals, camo has limited value. Pigs dont seem to care what you're wearing, but they have a great sense of smell and pick up movement pretty well. Deer are pretty keen to movement and smell as well, and a decent camo is useful to break up your form, especially when sitting inside of a box blind on a high-fence ranch like some of my knuckle-head buddies are known to do. But thats about all I have to offer. Hopefully it was just enough smart-*** with a good bit of useful info.
Good luck on your new hunting adventures. Its kinda hard to get guys to take you serious at first, but once you're in the club, you're in for life. Dont take the jabs too serious, you'd get them in person if you were at a deer club, or a duck club or anywhere else dirty stinky hunters hang out...it's how we show our love

If you shoot at clubs where you leave your gun in a rack say Palm Springs, Bakersfield, Piru, West End, etc. in the summer the cammo guns are much, much cooler to pick up and mount than black guns are. Is it worth the extra 100 bucks? More and more of them are showing up at matches.

They weren't available when I was hunting so no idea there.

                            Good luck
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.
