    Mike,
Did any of the previous posters contact you before posting their opinions of your lock? If a few get through quality control, it happens, If a bad run gets through, that happens too. What matters to me is someone who will stand behind what they sell. I have had a custom ammo maker contact me and say a run of ammo got out that was very slightly over OAL. Not enough to be a problem in 98% of the guns the load would be used in. He paid for return shipping and sent me back two boxes of the corrected stuff. I'm his customer for life.

If you remove the gas plug and the "puck" then block the gas ports, it is no longer a semi-auto. I have a home-made gas plug that installs in place of the original that is made to completely block the gas ports. By installing it, you have just made a single shot with a box magazine. You can also remove the magazine and forward hand guard, then slip a piece of sheet metal trimmed to the right size underneath the front trunnion in the reciever. Slide it back and it will completely block the magwell. Now reinstall your front handguard and you have a true single shot that will not accept a magazine at all. You have to manually rack the bolt carrier and drop it the shells one at a time.

get the cheapest one , do the conversion then solar tactical all the way. Or buy the gun converted. The solar design helps guide the mag for faster mag changes.

interesting, mine doesn't cycle anyway. maybe I'll go that route and run the detachable mag.

I used a AK-BUILDER tg and modified it to fit OVER my BB

I used screws so I can reverse it someday when we become more free or I move out of state
What parts need to be changed to american in a stock Saiga 12 in order to add 10 round mag and pistol grip?

+1 for the solar tactical bb. That is what i put on mine when i converted. It attaches to the trigger guard with 4 allen screws, rock solid with lock tite & easy to install.

I'm the one who bent the lock, it would be GTG if you heat treated the material or used 20ga material instead of that 26ga steel.

I am not associated with PRK arms anymore but that is the only AK and Saiga 12 lock I trust on my personal guns.

No one has ever contacted me with an issue. This thread is the first time I have heard any complaints. The two complaints I have read above have both com from people associated with PRK. This is upsetting to me as a customer of PRK. If they had a problem with my product I would have appreciated them letting me know about it. Instead they just bad mouth me on a public forum.
