Remington 870P question

Use your 870s bolt carrier. It will fit right down in those notches in the forearm nut and you should be able to unscrew the forearm nut to remove the forearm without damaging the forearm it's self.

All these years working with 870s and I never knew that. I've always used a tool that came with a Choate forend years back. Nice bit of information to have!

Here are pics of the 870P I picked up. The stock shows some wear, which I'll probably refinish and the fore-end has one small gouge in it.

Is that a Rem super cell recoil pad? I noticed it hangs over a little. I purchased one for my express wood stock and it dosn't fit real well either. It is a real nice cushion though. I still am a bit disapointed with the fit.

Hi bucktooth7, yes, it is a super cell pad and I noticed the same as you with it hanging over a little bit.
