I need help from people who know 870's

So I'm finally building up my 'ultimate' 870 project.

I snagged the 1955 C&R receiver
pilfered the factory LEO crane stock with shell carrier
and paid scalper prices for an actual NIB military mag extension/brace/bayonette lug assembly.

and I have plans on getting a correct 21 inch modified choke barrel with rifle sites to complete the military front end.

now that I'm finally down to the little stuff, it dawned on me that I really don't know that much about the differences in internal components on remmy 870's

whats a big safety vs small safety? what is a police 'anti jam' system bolt/trigger assembly?

what is the 'ultimate' internal setup?


oh and the 64$ question.... will a surefire forend work with a bayonette? or will it hit the lug? if the new ones are too long, will the older style work? what other options do I have for an integrated tactical light forend?

although it probably would be about 700$ cheaper than building up an 870 like mine, and would do prety much the same thing.

unfortunatly for me, the 870 factory folding stock is the only folding stock that I like, so I had to go with the 870 platform.

Trigger Job or Timney Trigger... if you can find one...
Flexitab kit - 93339 (Black bolt) or 93340 (chrome bolt)... helps with jams
