    12 gauge ammo ?

What reflects shotgun recoil in ammo? Ie. bird shot, buck shot,3" or is it shot size or dram?

Probably the wrong answer... but I usually go by the rated velocity.

Here's what's in the magazine, at the moment, listed from the kick-enest, down. All are 2.75" (70mm) shells.

    Winchester X12RS15VP - 1 oz Rifled Slug - 1600 FPS
    Olin "MG Buck" - 9 Pellet 00 Buck - 1450 FPS
    Winchester XB1200VP - 9 Pellet 00 Buck - 1325 FPS
    Fiocchi 12HV00BK - 9 Pellet 00 Buck - 1325 FPS
    Federal LE13200 - 9 Pellet 00 Buck - 1145 FPS

The velocity, the shot load, the drams all works together to kick you into submission. A faster light shot load can kick less than a heavy shot slow load.

meh... whatever. Knew I'd be wrong, but in my world my system works. I'm not shooting skeet with a 20" barrel. Strictly slugs & 00 Buck.

The most I would recommand would be the 4-pack Win or Fed ammo. Those are 3 Drams already. I don't use them unless i am shooting an auto.

Look up Phillips Wholesale and buy some Remington Gun Clubs in #8 or #9 shot. He only sells them by the case. These are 2 3/4 Drams 1 1/8 oz shot and they are a step up from the 4-pack stuff.

Look for the 3 1/4 Dram stuff with 1 1/8oz, #7 1/2 shot or larger. Most range won't let you shoot the larger shot sizes.

If you just want to kick your fillings out

Try some good hunting loads 1 1/2 oz 2 3/4" mags, max drams

Or some 3"mag 2oz turkey loads (for guns with 3" )chambers)
