    pink camo illegal in ca???

today i was in Reno nevada and my chick saw a remington 870 express in pink camo and fell in love...

the dealer said no dice in CA due to the coloring...

If you can legally own an 870 express in CA why does the color make it illegal?

im not understanding this, makes absolutly no sense.

that would be FUD. There is a law against the commercial sale of Orange or Green firearms, which I assume is because toy firearms are often painted those colors.
12020.3. Any person who, for commercial purposes, purchases, sells, manufacturers, ships, transports, distributes, or receives a firearm, where the coloration of the entire exterior surface of the firearm is bright orange or bright green, either singly, in combination, or as the predominant color in combination with other colors in any pattern, is liable for a civil fine in an action brought by the city attorney of the city or the district attorney for the county of not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000).

Yep total FUD! Although 12020.3. is a POS law, but it is law.

what pain in the ***? Just buy one and forget about that NV person spouting FUD. You can get one through Gun Genie for around $430-500 OTD depending on you local dealer's markup, CA legal.

Or, yes, you could buy/refinish the stock in pink camo if you wanted to.

Does that make the small, kid's .22 single-shot rifle in pink illegal in CA now?

If you listen to a NV dealer who doesn't know CA law, YES. If you read the law for your self, you'll see that PINK is not a regulated color.

It's not illegal. But that pink camo should be a crime.

Pink is just another gray to a deer. That is until its a dead deer, then its all black...

I'm actually kind of shocked that blue and red didn't make that list seeing as they are the colors used for plastic training guns.

BTW, I really need a pink gun just for the shock factor.
