It's high time we do a shotgun pic thread here..... (hmmm I didn't do a search so there might be one already.) Anyway, show your scatter-guns boys and girls.

Lukas, you should put a picture of the shotty that is on the door to the locker room at Bullseye. It's an 870 isn't it?

Ah, the Vang Comp 870. Have you introduced yourself at Bullseye? I don't remember us meeting.

Nah! No intro necessary. I'm the one who leaves all the drool on the glass case after I'm done viewing all the handguns....

lol, sorry I had to. But seriously, that looks really good. Just spraypaint and a few homemade stencils? My "Pride of China" Norinco 870 knock-off just sits in the closet for HD, I pull it out for a little range practice from time to time but it is by no means a field or clays gun, maybe I oughta camo it up like that just for my own viewing pleasure. How'd you go about making and using the stencils? Hold them over the gun while you paint or did you tape them down?

And since I know someone will rag on me for having a ChiCom870, I gotta say, I didn't buy it new, it was a helluva deal, and to be honest... it shoots very well. I was outshooting a Benelli M1 Super90 with slugs at steel silhouettes. I'd love to say it was the shooter, but after I hit the target 3/3 and the Benelli guy went 0/3 I decided to try with his Benelli and still only went 1/3. (this was @140 yards) Thus it earned the name "Pride of China" from my coworkers. Hmm, sorry for rambling, I'm bored.

Nah if he paints the tube it will wear off fairly quickly with use, and then it will be ugly. He had the right idea leaving the tube untouched.

K I spent $200 buying a mossy 500 that came into the shop used, solely because I thought yours looked pretty sweet and I wanted to do something similar, with my own twist of course. So let's hear a run down of how you went about whatever prep work, type of paint, how you stencil'd the camo? I've never done any duracoat/camo/norrell/spraypaint jobs on a firearm so I'm at a loss other than my semi-educated guesses at how you went about it.
