I wonder if there is a way to mount a light on bayonet mount.
    It couldn't be that hard...

If someone comeup with working product, all I want is 10%.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

You can correct my spelling and grammar error anytime.
I welcome it. How else would I learn.

Already been done for ARs and it's the same bayonet mount so you won't see a penny. It's just a short rail attachment that bolts to the bayo mount, then you put a light on the rail like you would any other rail.

The Mossberg 590 is on sale at Big 5 for $319 again and this thread has got me thinking about buying the gun, even though I spent all my tax return money. I'm not concerned about a plastic trigger guard, but I would be concerned about a plastic assembly that held the trigger, hammer, and other fire control parts. These are all steel, right? Oh well, I can go to Big 5 to look at the gun, but they probably won't allow me to disassemble it to check it out.

the trigger guard piece on the mossbergs holds all of the trigger components that's why I wanted an a1.....if you break the plastic on a regular 590 there is a good chance you will mess up the trigger... then the zombies will eat you

It would be cool to have the heat shield and ghost ring sights (but a the loss of all the metal/durability). But it will never get as much action as the Marine A1's.

            Thanks.
just buy a ghost ring 590 and install the heat shield. I did it no problem.

Did you use the factor 590 Heat shield and installed in on 590A1. Someone eairler said it was not possible. Did you have to modify it in anyway? Insturction/How to info would be greatly appreicated.

You shouldnt be basing your decision on a shotgun over a heatshield....There are pics of 590A1's with heat shields in google images....How they did it I dont know....

                  what he said.

I want to take the damn thing off now, cause the cool factor has worn off.

Just prop it on top of the barrel and hammer away until it gets on there.

So, to change barrels on the civvy model 590 you have to change the magazine tube also? I have the 590 and would like to multi task. I bought mine in '95.
