    Benelli M4 replacement Stock

I have a Benelli m4, and want a shorter LoP. I was thinking about getting the new Mesa Tactical Urbino stock, but I would rather get the collapsible stock and modify it to be permanently fixed by pinning it somehow. Has anyone done this? A permanently pinned collapsing stock that was fixed would be legal on a semi auto shotgun right? If it would be too much trouble I'll just go with the urbino stock. Both are pretty pricey, but The Urbino stock would help with the 922r parts issues.

Yes, if it is fixed, it would be legal vis a vis CA law.

Another option to consider is that Benelli makes a straight stock (non pistol grip) for the M4, and because your hand is further back on such a stock it actually alleviates the long LOP issue.

I've been thinking about getting the skeleton stock for a while, but keep on getting the feeling that as soon as I buy it (with it's outrageous markup), pay for it and receive it (so it's too late to return it), Benelli goes ahead and announces that they are selling it to the public for 1/4 of the price I paid. What's the chance of that happening?

There was already a place that was selling them for 255.00 of coarse they all went in seconds. peopel bought more than one so they could make a dime.
I see them all the time now for 400 bucks but still to much for a stock. 400 bucks could buy a damn gun.

I found that place that sold them for 255. I read on the benelli forums that they said they would be back in stock in a month or so. I wonder if that's going to happen?

after they couldnt fill my order I got a Email from them. they said at the least 1 month untill more are back in stock. Another member emailed them and they said no idea when more will be in. So at this point it might be awhile.

Just got an email from Mitch at Mesa Tactical. They expect their Urbinos to be ready mid august, right here in Sunny Costa Mesa.

The skel stock looks cool but is uncomfortable IMO,,The current prices of the skel stock is due to supply and demand...Its a 199.00 accessory from Benelli

Does anyone know if the Benelli skeleton stock button release is made of metal. I'm sure it has to be, but not certain. If I get one, I'm planing to put an ar15 prince 50 style set screw to pin it in place. Is this enough to keep it legally fixed or does it need to be pinned in a more permanent way? The prince 50 is good enough to keep a mag legally fixed.
