    Sporting Clay Gun?

Hey guys im looking to get into shooting sporting clays again and I'm looking for opinions on a new or used over & under. Right now I have a Beretta 667 Silver Pigeon II but im looking to buy a second gun. I want to spend between $2500 and $4000. What do you guys think? Another Beretta? Superposed?

buy a winchester 101 and tell me how it shoots. I like the way they look. With that kind of scratch I would prolly go Browning, or beretta. On the high end of yopur budget, you could prolly find a used krieg, or perazzi if u looked hard enough.
Why is everything good???? Illegal, Immoral, fattening???

Your budget will allow you quite a few choices.

You can't go wrong with the Citori 625 Sporting. The Citori action has proven itself over many, many years. I shoot a 525 and love it.

Audio made the right call with a used Perazzi. Another really nice option is a Cesar Guerini. They make a really nice sporting gun. Z guns are another option. I was lucky enough to shoot a Guerini and a Z gun at our local club and they are both REALLY nice guns. Very balanced, great quality and a lot of nice features. If you are a Beretta guy, the Gold "E" Sporting is also another nice shotgun.

Good luck with whatever you decide to get. I would try to shoot as many as I could before I invested that kind of dough into one.

1st choice ... Beretta Silver Pigeon II Sporting with a 30" barrel. They go for around 27-3000. They look good and shoots better. I personally have a SPII and a White Onyx Sporting. The White Onyx Sporting is around 17-2000.
2nd choice ... Browning 525/625 Sporting with a 30" barrel. They go for around 2-2500. I like the way the Beretta looks but the Citori's shoot just as good. I have a 525 sporting and a XS Pro-Comp.
Any of these guns will definately get the job done for you. I don't have any problems with any of my O/Us, so pick one and ENJOY !!!

I've never cared for the Citori because I think they're bulky and they're heavy. No offense to the Browning guys, I know they're good guns. I would recommend you stick to the Beretta or maybe a Perazzi MX3 and even a Franchi Renaissane Elite...with over-unders, Italian = good.

How about a Browning Cynergy? It's a neat design that actually works in reducing felt recoil.

I have a sporting grade (a step up from field grade) that I'd like to sell; works great for your purpose. Includes original box and everything. I paid ~$2.5K for it, so how's $1800? Gun located in bay area.

I also have 2 field grade Cynergys (1 unfired) that's great for sporting clays and skeet. They are 20ga though and incl original box, docs, etc. So, how about $1200 each?

Is there a reason you want an O/U? Most sporting clays shooters I know shoot gas guns.

I have an SKB 585 Sporting Clays competition 3 barrel set -20, 28, 410. Works great. I also use the 20 for trap, the 410 for hunting on preserves, the 28 for quail and dove.

If you're in the $4K range you cannot go wrong with used Perazzi.

You can pick up a nice MX-8 (drop out trigger) or even better for sporting an MX-12 (non-drop out and selectable). You can get a selectable trigger MX-8 but those usually go for a little more than the fixed trigger MX-12.

I have both and I like the MX-12, (besides having coil springs).
