So I feel like starting an argument.

As the title of the thread says, I feel like starting an argument, or should I say "Intellegent Discussion". I am a casual shooter that enjoys shooting trap in little fundraising tournys or wiht friends, and am currently without shotgun. I am nowhere near knowing enough about the diff brands and models of shotguns to participate in this discussion, but am dead set on an over under 12g. Any and all criticism, opinions, and facts are welcome here. If it matters to you I am willing to spend upward of 15-1800 on this next purchase. So lets hear it. In your not so humble opinions, what should i buy?

I really like the Browning Citori White Lightning model. My dad bought one brand new and loved it immediately.

I saw a side-by-side (yeah, I know you're looking at O+U but it's still at least double barrelled) TACTICAL coach gun today at Socal Gun. Black polymer furniture, and picatinny rails on top and bottom. I couldn't help but laugh.

+1 the Browning seemed to fit well and be so well balanced that's where I would start too. I don't own one but have handled one.

If you really want to start an argument, just ask which one is the best between Mossberg 500 and Remington 870.

Turo: The Citori has been mentioned to me by friends and family so I am obviously going to have to take that one into consideration.

Gram: Ya know, I think I can live without the picatinny rails. Although it may come in handy to be able to mount a light on there for shooting trap in the dark

Is there a BAD $1500 shotgun?

I know mossberg sells a pretty inexpensive O/U just in case you wanted to dabble before dropping 15-1800. It is tough to lose money on inexpensive shotguns. Just an idea. I know zero about fancy shotguns.

Can't go wrong with the Citori WL or the XT Trap in that price range.

I would look hard at the Beretta but I wouldn't buy any brand until I shouldered all the different ones that I could until I found the one that fit me best.

With all the O/U's you can buy in the 1.5-1.8K range only an idiot would not buy the one they like and fits like a glove.

You have at least 15 models in four different guages to choose from

                              Just one idiot's option.
