I found this 5-10 year old 12 gauge 870 wingmaster with 30 in. barrel for sale out here in Utah. It is owned by an old man who has never really used it. Maybe 12 rounds through it or so he claims. It does have some wear on the bluing where the slide has rubbed on it, which makes me suspect it has been fired more than 12 times. There isn't really any damage to the wood or anything else I can see. Is $300 a reasonable price? I'm seeing a very wide range of prices on gunbroker for used wingmasters. (Not to mention this will probably be my last purchase before becoming a CA resident at the end of the month...yay for no transfer fees).

Assuming the gun is as clean and nice as stated, then $300 isn't horribly out of line, IMO.

Wingmasters go for $700+ at the local Turners gunshop, so 3 bills sound good !!Wanna learn to shoot SKEET? I am here to introduce all shooters to the sport of SKEET Shooting ....

Thanks for the input. I'll see if I can get it before it is gone.
[offtopic] If you guys want to drool you can check out the local classifieds on www.ksl.com There are hundreds of guns, including NFA items. But on your reference to moving to CA, I'm planning on living in northern CA for a few years just to be close to family...and then I'm transferring out to another free state. I've been here 7 years and I'm tired of where my job requires me to live in Utah (ie, not the pretty parts, looks like Nevada). [/offtopic]Comment

That WM could be fired 1K times and it would still be an excellent price at $300. Grab it.Comment

Sounds like a fair deal to meal ... not going to find many at that price once your over here in CAComment

Agreed with most here. $300 for a WM as you've described is a steal. You could turn it and make money on it. I've got one basically as you've described that I'm going to sell for $400 which is what I paid for it.Originally posted by fullrearviewI would by a prius and put a diesel engine in and tune it so black soot would just bellow out the back, and stop all traffic behind me while I drive through BerkleyComment

In good shape, $400 for a older, blue WM is a steal.Comment

That's a very good price. I've seen several at local shops and gun shows for $350 in fair condition with worn bluing.
the magazine tube is the first thing to show wear, check the chamber/internals for a better indication of wear."Any unarmed people are slaves, or are subject to slavery at any given moment." - Dr. Huey P. NewtonComment
