Just checked them out, can't believe I've never found them no matter how I googled.

              Thanks!

I like the look of the all wood. I have OEM wood furniture on my 500 including the old school ribbed forearm.

The sporting length Bantam forearm would most likely be interfered with by a receiver mounted side saddle, no?

Sorry... I haven't gotten notifications of more posts/questions.

I bought the stock & forearm from a fellow forum member over at
shotgunworld.com. I like the short buttstock so much that I ordered
another Mossberg 500 Bantam 12 ga. wood buttstock from Mossberg
a few days ago for this gun:

I don't like the Bantam forearm, so I recently obtained
one of the ribbed wood tactical forearms from Havlinsales.com.
The old style ribbed wood forearm is no longer being made, but
Havlin has some and so does Numrich.

New Bantam buttstocks are available from Mossberg.

Last night I started a refinish on the buttstock and the ribbed forearm,
so I should have pictures of the new look (stained red mahogony with a
natural oil finish - no varnish) soon! I wasn't that happy with the yellow
color of the factory finish and wanted a darker, redder oil finish like some
of the old guns had. I can see already (stain is on) how nice the look is
                    going to be!

And it is going to be all wood! With the old school ribbed forearm. New red mahogony oil finish. Pics soon!

I was gonna do it to my AR but it would look really cheezy so I didn't. with the exception of my Saiga 12 and AR all my other guns will be wood clad. Im making a set of wood pieces for my Saiga 12 to copy the 308 Saiga wood furniture out of walnut.

freonr22... just goes to show ya that even with "black" rifles, wood simply ROCKS!

My stock refinishing project is going really well... I promise mouth-watering (jaw dropping for some, perhaps) pics will be here SOON! Much as I loved my black plastic 500 Persuader and 590... now that I have a taste of them in wood... both of these guns will soon be wearing deep, rich, oil-finished 12.75" LOP furniture and I'll be appreciating them even more than before.

Wood furniture + shotguns always = good to go!

                              Nice guns!
