    12 gauge tactical strippers

Has anyone used 12 gauge tactical strippers by California Competition Works?

How well do they work? Would you recommend them?

I bought some 4 shell holders for 3 gun. I have not given them a run yet but 75% of the people I watch during 3 gun matches are using them. I will try them out this Sunday.

Here's a demo of how a similar shell caddy is used at around 1:26

I have smaller hands, so I cannot grab 4-rounds at a time for 3-gunning.

Instead, I purchased three 6-round stripper clips.

This way I can grab three rounds, load, and then grab three more - one clip.

This also gived me 18 rounds at the ready, whereas the guys with three 4-round stripper clips only have 12 rounds at the ready.

These types of items are indispensable for 3-gun competition. Choate also makes plastic ones, and higher end aluminum models are made by Progressive and by Man Mountain Engineering.

Tactical strippers- they burst through the door, shake it, take your money, and they're GONE!

The CCA strippers are half the price of the others out there. The others are better. I had CCW and Choate before the others came out. I think I'd still buy the CCW.

I carry most times 4 4 rounders. On stages with hi round counts I'll put on some six shell holders in addition to the 4's. I load 4 rounds weak hand.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

I bought some of the 4 round CCW strippers because of their price and availability.

After trying them, I'm not a huge fan of some details, but they are good enough for now, since they are the first I have owned. The other models are so much more expensive I can't possibly justify them.

I moved the belt clip to the upper holes so that they were positioned lower on my belt. I also bent the retaining wire 'clips' on the top upwards, so that they didn't grab the shell as much when I'm removing them.

I also wipe them down with a silicone cloth before using them, which makes the shells slide out much smoother, IMO.

Check YouTube for the Noveske Shooting Team Weak Hand Reload video. I believe he is using the Man Mountain brand, which are supposedly very good, but are $50 each.

I can just barely grab all four shells and load them reasonably well, but nowhere near as fast and as smooth as the Noveske or Army Pro videos show.

I have the 6 rounders CCW. I did change the belt attachment to the Tec-Loc, easy on easy off. I use them as extra shell holders for high round count stages. I use the 3 Gun Gear, side saddle and arm band for my strong hand reloading. 26 in and on gun and arm.
usually enough for most stages. I also use the Safariland 2 shell belt holder.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting

Can't add much, I like and use them (CA Comp Works)for competition. 4 round units work best for me (middle age bulge) and with a lot of dummy round practice you can load them as fast as the Army team guy did in the video. What he didn't factor in was, he went to his waist for the second four rounds and still under 6 sec. reloading 8 rounds.
