    clay thrower

Any suggestions as to what kind of mechanical clay thrower works well and doesn't break the bank .

How small or large is your bank?
You can get a simple plastic hand thrower for about $10 or less at WM. You can also buy a PatTrap for several thousand.
I have a foot release Trius that cost about $100. No need for a second person to throw. You can also get a pull release Trius for less and jury-rig a pull cord release.

"How small or large is your bank?"

I guess I'm looking at a bank of less than $150.
      Mechanical, not handthrown.
Looked on the _Bay, but don't know what is considered decent or crap.

Treius make pretty good units. I have the foot control one. They are available from gamaliel.com
This is the one I have: http://www.gamaliel.com/cart/product...cat=411&page=1
and I'm satisfied with it. It can throw singles and doubles. You need to anchor it or it will walk around on you.
