I just picked up a 590A1 and am considering a Knoxx stock for it. My buddy has the M4 style Knoxx on his 870 and it's really nice. But I like the idea of the folding wire Knoxx stock because it makes the gun shorter when folded. Does the wire stock get painful after shooting a couple dozen rounds through it?

gets the spec ops it will rox your sox off! I have it on my 590 and love it. Makes you go whats recoil? the folder doesn't reduce as much recoil as the specops. just go with the ops it colapses real short.

and I've shot over a few hundred 00 buck mixed with slugs in one session and my sholder was thirsty for more! and thats also with a few hunder rounds of birdshot also. its a bigggg upgrade from stock.Comment

Love my SpecOps on my Mossy 500... Love the Limbsaver for SpecOps I added. And as of yesterday the PowerPack is ready to go.
LOP is 11.5" removing recoil pad or 12.5" - 15.5" with the pad.
As I've already mentioned on several other threads... I've gone out for a weekend with the buddies, and put cases (250 per case) of ammo through this gun in a single weekend, and had everyone else wanting to use my gun.

Not speaking from experience, but everything I've seen and been told strongly points to it being at the very least harder. Cavalry Arms had a total conversion they did to a 590 or 870 with a new stock, optics rail, etc, and one of the additions was an oversized safety that could be flipped from either side while grasping the pistol grip.
