Same gun on the inside. The russian military/police saiga 12's have all those features as well. Folding stock, FS/GB combo, magwell, "krink" style hinged top cover etc. Its called the "Saiga exp 01-30", The only thing really different is the stocks (saiga 12's is better) and the vepr is built on an RPK receiver. Still it would be sweet to have one.

It's been around for a while and is in pretty heavy use in shotgun/3gun competitions over in Europe.

JT Engineering makes a magwell that allows for a similar straight mag drop in

im guessin most of the stuff on it could be closely copied onto a s12.

what the real beauty to me is that front sight/gas block...

i read on the s12 forum they mite cost something like twice as much as the s12 over there...

True, a stock Vepr is probably more than 2x the price of a stock Saiga.
However, to mod/add all the stuff to a Saiga that a Vepr comes with out of the box will probably end up costing you as much as the Vepr is.

So yeah, if you compare apples and oranges, the Saiga is half the price, if you compare apples and apples, they're probably about the same...

                  (A Vepr is about $1200)

i wasn't comparing the two sayin one was more of a value then the other. i was just sayin i read that i goes for twice as much as a saiga for thoes curious how much it may cost.
