Saiga 12 safety/selector difficult to take off safe (w/Pics)

I juest got my Saiga 12 from CGW, I love this gun. I am having one issue though, the selector/safety is pretty difficult to take off of safe. The RomyG AK I have is a breeze compared to this. I think the selector is getting caught up on the receiver. Is there a mod I can do to the selector or receiver to make it function with ease?

Yeah, I have the same issue with my Saiga 12s. The receiver was clearanced in order to eject the empty 12 gauge shotshells. I used a automatic center punch to put a dimple just before the selector "dimple" falls off the receiver. They are lined up so the selector dimple will line up with the receiver dimple and this has helped alot. It also keeps the selector in a position that looks a little more natural.

I stopped using the safety altogether. My has rubbed the paint off already though. This is a very fun shotgun and found myself shooting it more than my other toys.

How much heavier is your Saiga with that Chaos rail. I want one but trying to keep the weight down. I just have the basic handguard on right now! thanks

Bend the selector lever out a bit... that will release some of the tension, making it move easier.

The dimple thing is also a good modification.
