Don't really have an interest in a Saiga at this point. I've got two excellent fighting shotguns already set up to my preferences and ready to go if I have the immediate need. And I can turn my 1100 from a trap / bird shooter into a pretty solid fighting gun in about ten minutes with parts on hand.

A Saiga is cool and all, but just not what I am looking for. And they are overpriced now... anyone mention that?

I see that some of you have not shot one. I think all those BS excuses you have will fade away. I put about 200 rounds a month through one. The other sits in the safe unfired. Why buy one when you can buy two at twice the price?

            I've shot the Saiga-12 before.

I don't have one because my buddy has one. I can just shoot his.

Other than that, I have no use for one other than to blow stuff up. Can't take it to the clay range nor hunt birds with it, so what do you use your Saiga-12 for?

no one said it wasn't. since when has a maglock stopped anyone here from owning something? seemed like a funny reason not to own one

Because I trust my life to a Remington 870 and have no use for anything else as far as shotguns go. My life is to important to trust to anything else.

Ive never been to a "clay range". Why can't you use it there? I use mine to blow stuff up...including clays.

We shoot clays all the time with mine. Worthless for trap or skeet without a choke. Always gets a few evil stares from the wood stock traditionalists.

I actually took off the forward grip since it feels much better without it.

exactly how unreliable is a Saiga? I want one, not completely convinced to have one yet

When I go to the range it is to have fun and the Saiga 12 is a lot more fun than my 870, Moss 500 or Bullpup. (Remember, this is an opinion) I haven't shot any Benellis or Valtros etc. If you ever see me at the range shooting the Saiga, come on over and dump a 20 round drum. If it doesn't do it for you I am not sure what will.

I use my shotguns for either competition or hunting. Don't feel like shooting in the open class yet, but when I do, I'll consider getting one.

Yea, and waiting for the AR style 12GA! I still wouldn't mind having one of each though...
