Advice on 12 gauge Slug ammo

Hey Folks,

Any advice or leads on some 12gauge 1oz slug ammo and also 00 buck?

Is EMB the go to place to get this stuff by the case? I think they are offering free shipping right now.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I was looking into getting some slugs as well. I was at Walmart last night and I saw the rifled slugs. Are there any slugs that are not rifled? Or do rifled slugs work through a non-rifled barrel?

I think EMB is Express Police Supply in the Midwest. They sell this stuff by the case.

I have bought some at Walmart but you only can get 4 boxes if you are lucky and you don't see cases.

I mean, what if you need more!

With Regards to Raymond: we are not as talented as you. I wish I could reload slugs. Due to legal constraints, I think it would be prudent to use 'factory' slugs for certain situations. Although I'm tempted to use some Raymond home brews for 'practice.'

The "rifled slug" just means that the slug has rifling on it. Its made for smoothbore barrels. Its suppose to make people think that its spinning to stabilze but I dont see anything that will make it spin other then the rifling is to be able to change shape as its pushed thru the forcing-cone and for diffrent barrel diameters. Basically for the manufacturers safety from getting sued from guys who's SG exploded on them for using a solid slug.

Anyways, Broken down version:

a Sabot Slug is made for shotguns with rifling
a Rifled Slug is made for smoothbore shotgun barrels

L, np. Now-a-days finding lead is harder and harder. I have only one source left before heading to eBay. I'm keeping that a secret myself, until they stop carrying lead. It sucks because their startig to get more and more zinc/lead wheel weights. It just means that CA is really crackn down on lead ww's!
