They make the ultimate in ghetto blasters. Everything is smoothed out and with their barrel treatment it softens felt recoil, and if you want a tight pattern with buck this is the gun.

I've shot a bunch and been around quite a few. I've never found anybody dissapointed.

Their mods while great for paroling a bad guy to Jesus, don't make a good gun for 3 gun.

I have two Vang Comp shotguns with the VCS system, a Rem 870 and a Mossber 590A1. It tightens up patterns considerably. However, with loads like the Federal Tactical Low Recoil loads with pattern control wads, you might get similar results with a regular barrel. Also some people don't want a tight pattern because they feel that having pattern spread and the advantage of scoring hits on moving targets outweighs the limitations on range such a barrel has.

A tighter choke works for the guns with the choke option, this here is to help add a tighter group for the HD shotguns with no chokes, but Im sure it helps for both as the theory is to help reduce the crushing of the pellets as its pushed out of the barrel.

Really does work! Patterned a regular 870 and a Vang Comp 870 back to back with plain ole bird shot and sure enough it really did tighten it up.

Hans is "DA MAN" with shotguns. He can do wonders with you blaster. As posted if you just want tighter buckshot groups Federal LE132 with Flite-Control will do about the same thing in a regular cylinder bore barrel.
But you want a full house custom, in use by numerous alphabet federal agencies, a VCS gun is your way to go. Nighthawk is making good looking guns but I"ve used Hans guns for over 12 years now, great service, great guns. And every true shotgunner should have at least ONE Vang Comp gun in their ......collection. Didn't want to use the "A" word in case Diane or Barbara are watching.

LOL, how about we say you should have one of these tools in your toolbox! They are built to be used not collected!

Tool box, very good substitute for arsenal....of course tools can be deadly weapons too, lord knows I've killed a few good gun parts with my dremel (should have to have a license to own one of those) and don't even get me started on hammers!
OMG, don't tell you actually shoot your guns, Esskay!!! Then you have to clean the dang things and they're so loud! I thought we just had'm to LOOK at'm And then there's the global climate change they cause....and the bambis' they scare....and the libs they intimidate...and oh can't do this any more...I'm about to wet my depends. I gotta go shoot my VC gun now! BTW I found the best way to clean my VCS 12ga barrel is with a 10 ga. Bore-Snake.

You can tighten up the pattern with a tighter choke but you won't get the recoil reduction you will with a Vang Barrel.
