Just got back from reading SG worlds threads on the 930SPX. I see I am not alone there and I'm wondering if anyone here has had any of the same problems and has any fixes (other than sending it back to Mossberg).
Biggest issue is: Failure to Extract (FTE) with all kinds (brands and types) of ammo. Buck, bird, slug, doesn't matter it will FTE somewhere in a firing string.
The gun is clean, gas rings-clean. Gun is lubed, well. Gun has been sent back once already for same problem. Barrel was replaced.
After replacement: Failure to Fire (FTF). No firing pin strikes. Gun is assembled according to specs and fires...sometimes. Bolt is clean and lubed and appears to be assembled correctly.
Also, new problem: Shells releasing early from magazine. This is really troubling because the SPX doesn't have the access through the elevator, like the 500/590's, so you don't just push the errant shell back into the mag.
I am at my wit end with this gun. I love it WHEN it works, but geez Louise it's not giving the love like it used to. Any ideas out there? Other than selling the P.O.S.....
