the sad thing is, i was just handling some shells today, and they ARE bright red with shiny brass. ive never seen the military use that "military" buckshot. now i know i havent seen it all, but ive never seen that.Originally posted by Marcus von W.Is that banjo music I hear?
"Sporter" is what the drooling toothless inbred albino with the hacksaw thinks his newly created "dear riffel" is.
"Bubba" is what he and his ugly and ruined rifle really are.
First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
Next thing you know, you think "Deliverance" is a love story.Comment

Yeap, thats a great interpretation. Whether its "designed" to function like this or if it just so happened by "lowest bidder" manufacturing as mentioned above, who knows. But hey for in home SD, itll work just fine and the risk of overpenetration is minimal as far as sheetrock walls goIf the intended use of this load is for close range (room to room, down a hall, etc.), does this mean it could perform well for in-home defense? If there is no intention of shooting past 20yds or so, is this load any worse than the tight-patterning "tactical" type loads? Too bad this load isn't a reduced recoil one, either.
I understand that a tight patterning buckshot load essentially extends the useful range by keeping the pattern relatively narrow and minimizing dispersion. This also sounds like it making close range target hits is less forgiving in that it does not take advantage of a more rapidly dispersing load pattern then this mil-spec load. Is this an accurate interpretation?
Embrace the suck.

Where did you find that price?I bought some Federal Flight controls and tested em out about a week ago. At 7 yards, there was no pattern, just a large hole. At 12 yards the pattern spread a bit, but still the tighest groups I have ever seen with 00 buck.
Also they were 18.95 for 5 boxes ( 25 total), talk about a deal!
