The Nova was the first firearm I ever bought... Capable of handling everything from 2 3/4" to 3 1/2" without modification... mag cut-off button on the bottom of the front grip allows you to eject a round from the chamber without loading another from the tube... And the optional recoil reducer installs easily and makes slugs and buckshot loads quite tolerable.

I'd certianly recommend the Nova.

Nope, I was just at the one on Sycamore in Vista and asked the guy if they could...said nope, they could only offer what the manufacturer gave them.

Big 5 always puts their guns on sale watch it for a few month and wait for the sale

The only thing about the Nova is that there aren't nearly as many aftermarket parts for it as there are for Remington or Mossberg pumps. And because the receiver and stock are molded in one piece, you can't change it if you want a pistol grip (the Super Nova is two pieces)

I bought the nova awhile back. The Max4 camo for duck hunting. Absolutely correct about not much out there for upgrades but that darn thing sure is easy to strip, works excellent, eats a great range of ammo, comes with 3chokes, and gets the job done. That 399 is a good price from what I can find. At least 40 bucks cheaper than anyone else.

Thanx for that info CP! I was just wondering about that... Im just addicted to pistol grips!! Does anyone know if there is a pistol grip for the Super Nova?? I believe I seen em but not certain...
