indeed there are, and a few different types.. commonly called 'snake shot' or similar.. couple of different shot size options..

not sure how common or easy to find nowadays or what they probably cost

I shot a lot of them growing up.. one word of caution, they may not cycle a semi-auto, they wouldn't in my Ruger 10/22.. better suited for bolt/lever rifle but work best out of a revolver

They have teeny tiny payloads.

An inch or so of paper soda straw filled with shot over a ramset blank will do interesting thing.

They won't cycle but they will work.

I have a few .22lr and a .22mag shotguns and recently picked up a Routledge clay thrower. There is a member here who is writing a book on .22lr shotguns. I've taken my Rem 121 Routledge to a skeet clinic, and, during lunch, the instructor's helper and I ended up breaking some "normal" clays with it on the skeet field. I am sort of in the market for a 9mm garden gun since, I have 500 rounds for one. I've considered getting a 32g and/or a 24g for fun but, I haven't been serious about getting either yet.

I believe the BSA .410s are designed for 2" shells and not today's standard 2 /12" or 3" shells. I could be wrong about this though.
