Silver Pigeon cracked stock

About a box into my day yesterday I noticed this. Watched it grow as I shot another 3 boxes. Put a monkey on my back for the remainder of the day...

2 year old SP1 Sporting. Purchased new with +/- 5 K of only 7.5s target rounds fired. Stock has never been removed (in my ownership time) and I treat my guns with respect.

Suggestions?

You better have it looked at. I would stop shooting it if you saw the crack lengthen.

I sent off a query to Beretta customer service, but honestly if I can get it fixed locally and in a shorter time frame, that would be preferable.

Not an uncommon place to crack. Loose stock can be a factor, or just not enough relief in the inletting (looks tight).

Pretty easy repair with the right tools. If noticeable at all, it will be minimal.

Bob can fix that. Probably pull the stock and wick in cyanoacrylate glue with an accelerator. If the crack is worse than it looks from the outside, he may epoxy a staple from the inside. Either way, it should be virtually invisible.

BOBGRA....I have seen those and agree they are pretty.

But at $1000 a set and higher, plus fitting and shipping I would rather get this fixed locally and keep saving for gently used DT10😁

I think that set was $650 plus tax, shipping and having it fit.

I got on their email list and periodically they would send out a sale email on their wood stock sets (although it's been a while since I've seen one).

Is anyone 3D printing parts like this yet (stock, fore end)?

You could do a cool carbon stock but the weight/balance would be off.
