Shotgun rear sight

You can buy the same sights as on the 590A1's directly from Mossberg. The Rear Sight is held on by screws but the Front Sight has to be soldered to the barrel so you'll probably need a Gunsmith for the install.

Includes the rear sight, front sight, and base with Matte finish for 12 Gauge non-ribbed barrels. GUNSMITHING REQUIRED for front sight.
Here's Mossberg's website for the sights.
Here's a supplier (out of stock as I type this) which has a "notification" type waiting list for when back in stock.
There are likely other suppliers to check or to get onto waiting lists, if out of stock.
I really like the stock Mossberg ghost ring sights which came mounted on my 590A1.(former) Glock and 1911 Armorer; LEO (now retired)Comment

Sage make a ghost ring kit for the 500 and 590 that the front sight doesn't require soldering. I have soldered on the Mossberg kit before its easily done with a propane tor h and solder. Can DI AR's run dirty?

It's sights - I'm glad you are looking for quality.
Unless you have an emotional attachment to your existing shotgun, it sometimes is easier to buy what you want
Sights
+
Silversolder or gunsmith
+
Cleaning up finish
Does your SG have a new plastic trigger guard or an older aluminum one?
Does it have the ring at the end of the fire arm or the newer cheaper to make option?
WR who posted above has done a ton of shotgun mods and improvements.
He is very helpful if you have questions as are most of us
I went down the 1911 officers model rabbit hole. I spent $300 more in gunsmithing than I did on the gun.
Not $300 but the full cost of the gun +$300
I would have been better off buying a higher end model to start with
Sometimes it's cheaper and better to buy an already tricked out firearm.

Slugs? Slugs are more accurate with Sights.
Any gun barrel will shoot to some point.
With a bead you do the best you can while lining it up. This is harder to do as there is no rear sight and there will be discrepancies in your sight picture from shot to shot. Then you see where it shoots. POI. If it doesn't shoot to where you held, then you have to use Kentucky Windage to compensate for each shot because you can't adjust the sights..
With Sights you have a Solid Reference Point (Rear Sight) to line up with the Front Sight. Then you move the sights to yield the desired POI.
You say well what about Buckshot? Well you are more accurate in placing your Buckshot rounds with sights than with a bead which extends the viability of buckshot rounds past 25-30 yards.
What you need to understand is that a Tactical Shotgun is actually a .73 Caliber Rifle. However there is no need to "Study the Sights" in order to get good hits, because if you are shooting Buckshot you are shooting a shotgun. You put the Front Sight on the target and let fly. No need to study the sights because there is a pattern of shot going down range. This is no slower than using a bead. It's just a little different. The Front Sight becomes the Bead.
But if you have to make a Shot at 50+ yards with a Slug, the Rifle Sights will give you more accurate POA and result in a higher percentage of hits.
That is why you need Rifle Sights on your Tactical Shotgun.
